Rain Drop Therapy: Learn a full-body massage using essential oils that may benefit scoliosis, the immune system, sinusitis, etc. Participants will walk away from class with step-by-step instructions to repeat what you learn in class. You will perform this massage at least one time in class.
Hot Stone Therapy: While all types of massage can help relieve pain caused by tense muscles, stiff joints or injuries, a hot stone massage may provide greater relief due to the intense nature of the massage. Because the hot stones allow the massage therapist to penetrate deeper, you may find that a hot stone massage leaves you feeling physically better than a Swedish or deep-tissue massage that does not incorporate heat. It is important to let your massage therapist know if you feel that the heat from the stones is too much or that the pressure he is using is too harsh. Pain or discomfort during the massage process can cause more harm than good after the massage is over.
Typically, a massage therapist allows the heated stones to rest on trigger points in your body before beginning the actual massage. As the heat from the stones penetrates into your deeper body tissues, your blood vessels open, resulting in improved circulation. Poor circulation can lead to fatigue, which tenses the muscles, and a buildup of fluid and lactic acid in the muscles. Increased circulation delivers more oxygen to the muscles, which can help ease aches and pains. You may find that the relaxation afforded to you through a hot stone massage helps ease some of your mental stress and tension.
Aromatherapy: Learn the history of essential oils, the difference in qualities of oils, and the proper use of essential oils for maximum healing benefits.
Chemistry of EO's: A short course in chemistry to help you to discern truly therapeutic grade essential oils. You will come away from class knowing what oils do in living plants and how they can do the same thing in the human body. We will study the common and scientific names of essential oils, their chemical analysis, compounds found any essential oils, and the consciousness of essential oils. Do not be intimidated by this course. This class takes a complex subject and makes it simple.
Emotional Release with EO's: This class is intended to give background information for those who practice aromatherapy, raindrop therapy, or therapeutic massage to prepare you to know what to do if a client goes into an emotional release during or immediately following the session. This class covers theory and philosophy of emotional release, understanding emotional basics, why essential oils facilitate releases, oils to have on hand, and selected reference books. Self releasing examples of emotions and conditions will be completed in class.
Lymphatic Drainage: Participants will learn the history, theory, and application of lymphatic drainage for the whole body. Classes are spread over several weeks to allow practicals to be completed before moving onto the next portion of the body. This technique is based on the Vodder system.
Energizing Reflexology: Our life force circulates throughout the body along pathways. There are hundreds of points or “reflex buttons” which are connected to all the organs and glands of the body. When these points are massaged, they send a stimulating surge to the corresponding part of the body they are connected to. This assists in correcting the imbalance in this primary flow and helps nature do the healing.
This class will provide you with a basic reflexology routine you can perform on your client’s feet. This therapy is great for attracting new clients who may be timid about removing their clothes for a full body massage. Reflexology can be done anywhere; no need for any special equipment.
Bio Mechanics (Basic): The Original BioMechanics Technique (AKA Spinal Touch Treatment) is an amazing technique for correction of chronic and acute pain. It is a soft tissue, non-force system for the detection and correction of postural and visceral distortions that may be inducing the dis-ease process, and disorder function. The student will experience a "classroom" style teaching.
Bio Mechanics (Advanced): This class will be more in depth than the Basic course that takes place over several months. The student will not only learn about Spinal Touch, but will have hands-on opportunity in class, and a chance to practice on their own clients between classes meetings.
VitaFlex: Vitality through the reflexes: The ancient Tibetan and healing modality is based upon a complete system of internal body "controls". Learn how to properly aligned this technique to the appropriate control points to stimulate a vibration of healing energy. This reflex system encompasses the entire body and mind, releasing tension, congestion, and maladjustments.
Color Therapy: Color Therapy has been around longer than most modern medical treatments and is more effective than many. Different colors have different wavelength which in turn vibrate. Your body also consists of small, electromagnetic particles that also vibrate. When color and light hit you, they influence that vibration, and in turn, the way your body function. Different bands of light spectrum produce different effects in the human body. For almost every illness, there is a corresponding color that can heal. Learn to assist the healing of 91 different ailments.
History of Ancient Healing Oils: Learn the oils referenced in the Bible, their ancient uses as well as modern uses. Experience an anointing with oils and see first hand the difference in true therapeutic grade essential oils vs. perfume or food grade oils.
